Shift into Spring

Join us for this four hour workshop on transitioning our bodies into Spring. We will begin with a yoga practice, led by Jessica Peeblson, to bring excess Kapha into balance. Kapha is one of the three doshas in Ayurveda, and the energy which governs this time of year. We will break for a light lunch of cleansing soup and detoxifying juices, provided by Jess Maisel of Green Source. After lunch, Jess will be talking to us about how to incorporate herbs and food that are bitter, spicy and astringent into our daily routine. Regular use of these foods will help to revive our organs and shift from very sedentary winter vibrations into the movement and action-oriented energetics of springtime. 

Jessica Maisel graduated from Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in 1999. In addition to the many health-oriented fields which she has worked throughout her career, she is also the co-founder of Green Source in Missoula. 

Jessica Peeblson is a local yoga instructor and co-founer of the Hummingbird Lodge. 

Cost: $45 per person. Includes a light, nourishing lunch provided by Green Source.  

Please bring a yoga mat and anything you might like to take notes with. All other yoga props provided. Wear something you'll be comfortable moving in. We will have bolsters and a few meditation cushions to sit on for the lecture portion of class. Chairs available upon request.
